to buy an xr400

I am ready to buy a new bike. I've gone back and forth between a lot of bikes over the last month. WR250, TTR250, KLX300, and now to the xr400. I ready to buy the 400, I found a really good deal on an 04. I just want to make sure this is the bike for me. I may be overanalyzing this whole bike buying process! Please help! I'm 6'2" and weigh 210lbs. I am a beginning rider and will be riding trails 99% of the time. I have very little time to work on the bike. Basically, I need a very low maintanence bike. Do you think the 400 will be suitable for me?

go with the 400. you will never regret it. it will also have ample power for your weight.

I'm 6'4 1/2", 295 lbs, and I love my 400. It is a tractor, that will haul A$$ (even my big one) with ease, and there are very few suprises with it. It will however, jump and run when asked to. After being off bikes for 30 years, it has been a real joy, and bullet proof. Thanks go out to my wifes cousin for touting it so highly (even though he rides KTM), for a bike to keep up with the kiddoes on.

Go for the xr400. You won't regret it. There is not another bike on the planet more reliable. Sounds perfect for your needs. ?

I'm 6'5" and 265 lbs. A BIG boy! And that 400 is the perfect trail bike! I love mine!

Hell, a 250 feels like a tinker toy to me! ?

The XR400 will do great for you. On that list the WR250F would be 2nd, but if you want more torque and less maintenance, go with the XR400.

Go XR4, ? I just aquired one and it is probbly the best money I ever spent. Get one, guaranteed you wont regret it. The fun factor is 200% ?
