Jetting and Zip-Ty Question

Recommended Posts

Right now I would guess my bike is jetted for warm weather(60-80) because while riding it the last few days, in 50 degree weather, it seems to be running lean, popping on decel, etc. It has a zip-ty fuel screw that was on it when I bought the bike and I am wondering how to adjust it. Right now when looking at it from the choke side "3" is visible, which way should it be turned to richen it up? And will the fuel screw do the job or will it need to be completely rejetted?

Turn your fuel screw out (counter-clockwise) to richen it up. Only adjust it 1/4 turn at a time, until the popping goes away. I'm guessing it won't take much. You may also go up one size on your main to take advantage of the cool dense air.
