JD?? What does Blue JD needle do for mid throttle? I did search

Recommended Posts

I have 04 YZ450F and the JD jet kit. I am at 5000 ft to 8000ft. Summer temps 80-100 MJ 165 Red needle on 4th. Does this sound too rich?? Winter temps now 30 -50, altitude same. I know red needle evenly leans the lower half but what does the blue do? I can't seem to get the mid throttle to stop sputtering with red needle. Should I switch to the blue with same MJ? Thanks for your help also do you have jetting charts for altitude and temp for sale?

Blue #3 will be close to Red #4 in the mid-throttle range on your bike. The blue needle is a good choice for your colder temps. The sputter is usually rich jetting, so try lowering the main jet. There are not charts for the kit due to the wide range of modifications made.
