Fuel Screw Help

Recommended Posts

I am reading the articles on adjusting fuel screw by idle.

One of first steps is to close fuel screw until bike bogs.

What does it mean when I can close the fuel screw and the bike still runs fine?

Needle Clip position too rich? Pilot too rich? Something else?

Wow... thought this would be an easy one?

Now I'm worried that I was wrong. Anyone know the answer before I lean out my needle or pilot?

It means you 'could' use a smaller pilot jet, but not that you need to. Keep the fuel screw near 1 turn and ride the bike. If it runs good, don't worry about it. If the bike feels too rich, try a leaner clip position or smaller pilot jet.
