Rim Options

Recommended Posts

I need some help on what to do with my rims. I want blue rims but heres the problem. With excel you have to buy new spokes and hubs, well i dont want new spokes and hubs. Next there is Pro Wheels but there blue is a lighter blue then the rest of the bike. So is there any other options or should I just get them anodized? In that case, wheres the best place to get them anodized? Thanks.

Why do you have to buy new hubs with Excel rims? I see Excel rims listed as just rim only all the time with both 32 and 36 hole configuration. Is the shop that you are looking at listing just the package deal only? As far as spokes, wouldn't you want to buy new spokes? If I was going to spend the $150 or so for a new rim and labor for assembly, I would spend the extra $40 or so for new spokes and nipples as well.
