xr250 problem, Need Help!!

Recommended Posts

I just got my 96 xr250 and after laying it down a few times the front wheel seems to point to the left. I don't think the rim is bent; I spun the wheels and it doesn't wobble back and forth. I was reading articles on the web and a magazine said that the forks twisted inside the clamps. Does that mean the actual tubes just turned a little inside the triple clamps and can i just loosen the bolts and turn them back? Any help would be appreciated.

You may be able to tweak them back by holding the front wheel between you knees and jerking the bars.

When "on the go", smack the side of the wheel against a tree to tapp them into postion.

In the garage, loosen all the triple clamp bolts, straighten it and tighten everything up. Be sure the fork tube are at the same height.
