godeep Posted December 3, 2004 I own a 2001 Ktm 640 supermotard. My temp light stays on all the time. The thermastat is working the fan comes on and off. waterpump looks to be opperating fine. Only thing i can think off is the sensor that plugs into the rad which also turns on the fan. No hoses are kinked or leaking, the dash lite is only for the cooling system. Any ideas or help would be great. Maybe someone has had a similar problem.
don87xr600 Posted December 3, 2004 Try posting this in the supermoto forum, I'm sure someone there can help.
drzmike1 Posted December 3, 2004 Not familiar with KTM, but on most bikes I've seen the sensor to turn on the fan and the one for the temp light are different.

thumpinTed Posted December 7, 2004 A laser temp gun will give you an estimated coolant temp wherever you aim it. A thermocouple placed at the T stat outlet is more accurate. You will see temp when the lite comes on
