DBM Posted December 3, 2004 I bought a mint '99 DR350SE dual sport for my son to ride. We ride mostly off road so the bike is set up with DOT knobs. I have been looking for a second set of stock wheels to mount street tires, for street use. I found a '90 DR350 dual sport in the local paper for 900.00. My questions for the group are: 1. will the '90 wheels fit the '99? are they the same? 2. would it be possible to part out the rest of the bike to recoup some or all costs? yater Posted December 3, 2004 If you're considering buying the dirt model as a parts bike, you'll also want to keep the pumper carb. The se comes stock with a cv (vaccum) carb and it's a turd if you ride mostly off-road. I would love to have a bike to pick at for parts!
GreenAgain Posted December 3, 2004 I happen to have both of them in my garage right now. The wheels would "likely" swap- Assuming that the brake caliper will work. The brake discs and their mountings are different from one year to the other so hopefully your wheel purchase will include the disc.
GreenAgain Posted December 3, 2004 I will add the the axles look the same, even though the forks are different too. The outer diameter of the discs look to be very similar.
