YELLOW1   Posted December 6, 2004 😢 Is there a diffrence between a california bike (drz250)and another state bike if so,does it have any emission things 😢😢
dr_drz   Posted December 6, 2004 The CA version has a different carb. I don't know about other emissions components. The difference between carbs on the DR-Z250 is similar to that employed on the street and off-road versions of the DR-Z400. The street version of the 400 uses a CV carb similar to that on the CA version of the 250. The off-road version of the 400 uses a pumper carb which is technologically similar to the pumper carb on the 49 state 250. The 49 state version of the carb on the 250 is much better than that on the CA version when it comes responsiveness. The CV type of carbs are designed for slower response and lower emissions.
