TrailPilot Posted December 6, 2004 Hey Folks, looking for a bit of info on the DRZ 2003 that has been sitting around for a couple of months. Was wanting to clean out the carbs with out removing it. Is there any recomendations on doing this?
fixnfly Posted December 6, 2004 Seafoam works pretty well. Most auto part stores carry it.
Erik Marquez My Rides (5) Posted December 6, 2004 If that nasty pump gas has started any problems,, running something through the carb will not unplug the jets. The varnish that forms in the jets is like steel,,, it has to be physically removed. Drain the float bowl and see what comes out,, Start it and see how it runs. If no problems,, just go ride, If it has idle issues, or any runability issues,, I'd pull the carb and clean.

Just for fun I'll try the above mentioned product first. then tear down and clean. thanks guys
