TimFurryBalls Posted December 6, 2004 I have to admit, two of my best investments to supplement my MX addition have been my Hot Cams shim kit and a nice Lincoln Mig Welder from Home Depot. I actually taught myself how to weld. Now whenever a bracket or another breaks, no worries, I zap it in 15 minutes! Anyone else have any investments they find useful? 😢
1dustries Posted December 6, 2004 how much was the welder???
TimFurryBalls Posted December 6, 2004 It was around $400. Instead of always going to my brother in law's and having to wait, now I just zap it myself.
Jimbo45 Posted December 6, 2004 Anyone else have any investments they find useful? 😢 Billy Who Manfunnel. And next comes the Zip Ty fuel screw. My buzz box welder is ok, but can't even touch the aluminum on a bike with it.
NE14MX Posted December 6, 2004 I'd have to say my gas pressure washer is my latest best investment. While the hose method worked pretty good, a really good cleaning would take over an hour. Now 20 minutes and I'm looking for somthing else to blast. I've actually done the bike, my truck and my wifes car in the time it used to take me just to do the bike. To bad I waited this long to buy it. Just didn't have the room before. Oh yea, have to add the knee braces. They'll get double duty as here in Albany, NY it's ski season. 125shifter Posted December 6, 2004 I'd have to say my MX EZ-Up stand, pressure washer & knee braces.
Desert Red Posted December 6, 2004 A sheet of plate for the top of my work bench that is grounded to a Lincoln square wave tig machine. You can weld everthing with that. Even empty beer cans! 😢
