429dhm Posted December 7, 2004 I was thinking of installing a Stage 1 cam in my 02. But with a new cam would you not have to update the ignition as well? I believe Honda changed ignition curves when they put in new cams in for the 03, 04, and 05 models. When you order a Vortex ignition they specify specific years (besides the fact 04 and 05 has different connectors then 02 and 03). Would a person loose performance when installing a Stage 1 cam into an older ignition system and should I update my bike with a newer ignition with aftermarket cams.
