important motorcycle insurance information

Recommended Posts

I'm sure most of you are aware that most cases homeowner's insurance will NOT cover your motorcycle if it is stolen out of your garage. And in most cases your s.o.l. if you bike is taken from your truck or trailer 😢

I have been using Progressive ~ out here in California. I just added my third bike to my policy this morning. My total premium for 3 bikes : $202. annually

~ '04 CRF250 (with $2000. worth of modifications covered ~ supermoto bike with 17" Excel rims, Motomaster caliper and oversized rotor, etc.) only cost $17. more to get the addt'l coverage

~ '04 CRF250 stock

~ '03 CRF150 (with $1000 worth of mods)

All for a whopping 200. a year! Includes limited personal injury/property damage coverage ($15k per person/$30k per accident). Of course there is a deductible but I'd rather lose a little bit instead of almost $20,000 worth of bikes.

I don't work in the insurance industry ~ but thought this info may help someone out there.... 😢

Good point.

There are several posts on other insurance companies.

(I use Progressive.)

Did you know most home owners policies only cover $500 of tools?

Look at your policy and your tool collection, cosider adding a rider. (Added coverage.)

Similar limits for guns.
