willetts Posted December 8, 2004 I know it's not a 4 stroke but it is crazy.A kid that rides with my son got a leftover 04 suzuki rm85 1 month ago.He is a decent rider.The other day while riding he notices the thing rides funny,he comes to the truck and his father notices it does not look right.We found the front down tubes both broken with about an inch gap between pipes,the radiator bracket was ripped down due to the flexing.Factory defect or what ? If he had hit a large double or triple that bike would have folded in half.Through talking with other folks we found 2 other cases of the same problem.If you no somebody that has one,be forewarned,Suzuki is supplying a new frame but they are haggling about who pays for the transplants,,crazy huh ? Raistlin Posted December 8, 2004 That does not sound nice. I have never seen that happen without a really hard hit on a jump or bad wreck. Never seen both downtube break at the same time though.
