Crf250x, Jd Jetting Kit, Jd Plz Help

Recommended Posts

Well I have had my 250X now for a couple months. I have only cut the top airbox and installed the JD Kit. I have put in a t-handle easy adjust fuel/air screw. I am kinda at a lost at this point figuring out what i need to do to get my bike back where it needs to be. When I first had it, other than running really lean, it pulled good from the botton, roll on was pretty good. Now if I roll on to fast, I don't mean just hammer the throttle, the bike will hesitate then give a pretty good backfire and go.

Is this a lean/rich condition. Which way do I need to go to start with, I am kinda at a lost. 😢 I still have the factory pilot jet in, temps right around 50 degrees................any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The condition is probably lean from the description.

Try 1 step richer clip position, and if you need another option, then the blue marked needle in the middle clip position. Fuel screw should be near 2 1/4 turn sout from seated.

Thanks,

James
