Water thru air filter

Recommended Posts

I use No-toil filter oil, anyway I sometimes see a splash

thru on the inside of the air box. Real muddy, wet races.

Is this the brand or is this common? No-toil claims water

resistent oil and better breathing. Could it be the 520?

Myself and several local riders (Pac. NW) have had that problem in the past. It happened on boys 02 125 during a very wet race. We switched to Twin Air Bio Oil, same easy clean up as NoToil, but you can spray the filter with a hose and water won't go through.

Water is an excellent transport device for dirt and crap. It will allow stuff go go right through your filter.

oscar, if you use no-toil oil, the oil will eat up other companies glue. It's done this to 2 UNI's so far. I got fed up and bought a no-toil filter.

Dunno how you can ruin thier filter. It's strongly made.

As far as I know, Uni was the only filter the No-Toil would soften the glue on and that was on filters from quite a while ago. The last year or so it has not affected them as far as I can tell. I run Uni's in all but one of my bikes.
