DelTronXR Posted December 14, 2004 I've got an XR650R with a Pro-Circuit T-4 setup and I removed the cone shaped internal spark arrestor. I'm gonna be hitting Ocotillo for the first time next week and I was wondering if the BLM/State Rangers inspect for this. The pipe says explicitly on it that it is USFS approved with the number stamped on it, but do they really look inside for that cone piece?
Mike_socal Posted December 14, 2004 They'll poke something in the end of it. Better to have than to not have. I've never been checked nor seen anyone checked but have heard of people being checked.
Jeff_in_RC Posted December 15, 2004 You are supposed to run the SA anytime your riding anywhere in CA unless it's on an MX track. Just my 0.02 worth.
TRAILDUDE Posted December 15, 2004 Your O.K. with it out at Ocotillo.....They are more worried about drunks wearing no helmets and all the punks that come from the LA area....Ocotillo is way more of a family enviroment than other places bit still get the occasional skin head a-hole type of groups from LA,OC..... Just be cool to the rangers and they will be cool with you.... 😢
