Recommended Posts

I have a new Regina o ring chain do you think I need the counter shaft spacer to run it on my 05?

What does honda say about a o-ring chain on your 2005.I was too late with the spacer and my Regina o-ring left significant damage to my case.Send it back and get a DID gold to be safe. 😢

I don't know what honda's says, I made the same mistake on my 02 until turn the counter gear around and took care of the problem the only reason I'm thinking of using the oring chain is that I have a new one laying around otherwise I agree I would run the did x ring

If you decide to run the O-ring chain and the spacer make sure you replace the two piece countershaft sprocket washer, which is new for the 05, with this part (the two piece washers are breaking when ran with the spacer):

From Service Honda 2002-04 CRF450 fiche:

90501-KA3-741 WASHER (8X40) 02-04

The DID x-ring is too close for comfort.I`m waiting on a spacer

from Fastway.I`ll do the trick with another washer on the out-

side, just to be safe. Good luck. Theres another similar thread.
