rookie517 Posted December 16, 2004 the dr650 is using CV carb which is the same as DRZ-S (i presume) after removing tank and doing some work on the bike, i put back both the fuel line and the vacuum line. but the problem now is, in "ON" position, the fuel is not drawing in by the carb when engine is running(still can idle till carb run out of gas), only when in PRI position, i can see the gas moving(bike can maintain idle in this position) i wonder what is the problem?? 😢 just now, even though i purposely pull out the vacuum line, the bike still can idle for quite sometimes before it dies off. advice pls 😢

rookie517 Posted December 17, 2004 ya is a different carb, only know is a CV carb so i guess it should be working the same principal??
sahkomies Posted December 17, 2004 so i guess it should be working the same principal?? That's my quess as well. I don't know if you can read swedish but there is a site which gives some advice on tuning DR650. http://home.swipnet.se/~w-37577/tunedr.htm In case swedish is difficult, it basically says that get an aftermarket exhaust, open up the air box and rejet with #45 pilot and #145/148 main. BW350DRZ400S Posted December 17, 2004 Check it on reserve, and check fuel line for cracks/splits (air leaks). 😢
rookie517 Posted December 17, 2004 on the CV carb system, we only got ON, OFF and PRI. no RESERVE but we do check for any air leak already, no clue... 😢

BW350DRZ400S Posted December 18, 2004 I have a 97 DR 650, I do not need to remove the tank to change the spark plugs and oil. It may-be new to him because it has some problems. Remove petcock clean and replace. 😢
