High mileage?

Recommended Posts

...and bear in mind that (if you are buying a bike) that on street bikes with a little clip you can disconnect the speedo and in turn, the odometer. I did it on my 900RR for about 2 years.

I think it depends the the kind of bike. I've seen touring bikes with over 150,000 km. But around here, streetbikes don't get much more than 50,000 km. I think it has more to do with the cold winters and therefore less months in the year to ride. The bikes could probably handle more.

I was referring to dirtbikes, sorry.

In that case, forget the miles and work out the hours the bike has been used, this is however very difficult for very obvious reasons.

if you were looking at a DRZ 02 with 6000 dry miles all street, the bike is still like new. If on the other hand you were looking at an 04 model that had only 3000 miles but all hard offroad wet and muddy miles you would be buying the runt of the two 😢 hope this helps

Ive got a little over 22000 on my 03 400. 80/20% street/dirt.

Hoping to get many more out of her. Still pulls strong.

One of these days I will treat myself to the 440 kit, then put another 20000 on it.

Should be paid off by then....
