BurningWheel Posted December 16, 2004 I usually ride a lot of rocks, and I find that my rear spokes need tightening after EVERY SINGLE ride. Does anyone else have this problem? An A-class motox rider friend of mine says he needs to tighten his after every ride as well (03 CR250R) He claims that the DID rims are butter, hence the adjustments. My bike is in the garage for the winter ('04 R) , but I am plainning ridding it at least another 1-2 seasons, and I don't want to adjust the spokes more than I adjust the chain. Would and Excel rim and spoke kit fix the problem?
Yamaha600Racer Posted December 16, 2004 Im not positive, but I think that the Excel Rim/Buchanan Oversized Spoke combo is just what the doctor ordered. I remember one of the TT members was comenting on how great this combo was, I believe it was ThrottleJockey. Thats would be my choice also, having to adjust them every ride is a little excessive to me. Hope this helps ya, Pete 😢
BurningWheel Posted December 16, 2004 I read that post, but I don't really fancy drilling out the holes on my hub 😢
Throttlejockey Posted December 17, 2004 I read that post, but I don't really fancy drilling out the holes on my hub Trust me it's no big deal, you're only opening them up a small amount. It's not like you're drilling new holes or anything.
