camarillodan Posted December 17, 2004 Looking to Ride over the holidays. I would like to try Johnson or Stoddard Valley South East of Barstow. I have heard about the Slash X cafe. I would like to stay somewhere and make a day ride over to the Cafe. Any suggestions regarding Toyhauler Camping spots or nice trail riding? SoCA_DRZ Posted December 18, 2004 There are tons of places to camp around there. We usually just park off of Wildwash road on the west side of the freeway. You can get to the Slash X from there. sled_rider Posted December 18, 2004 You can go to Johnson Valley and camp at Anderson Dry Lake with a toy hauler. This is up Camp Rock Road off the 247. Slash X is then a good ride over the ORD Mountains. Top off before going. Want to say 50 miles round trip but not sure. Nice easy jeep trails over to Slash X so everyone should be able to make it.
