tapoutgrapler Posted December 19, 2004 I changed my son's CRF150 front sprocket (down 1) and added a RENTHAL Chain. You could tell the difference. Have not done my 230 yet.
04CRF150F#319 Posted December 19, 2004 Replace the chain with a non-o ring and you will notice the difference. Cheers, 😢
nw56 Posted December 19, 2004 Replace the chain with a non-o ring and you will notice the difference. : Have you done this, or is this just your opinion?
04CRF150F#319 Posted December 19, 2004 Have you done this, or is this just your opinion? Yes, I have done this. The stock o-ring chain is very restrictive, the rear wheel spins alot better with a non o-ring. Cheers, 😢
Erik Marquez My Rides (5) Posted December 19, 2004 Yes, I have done this. The stock o-ring chain is very restrictive, the rear wheel spins alot better with a non o-ring. Cheers, 😢 😢 what the wheel spins like while on the stand has nothing to do with if you can notice a difference while riding. As I have a CRF80 and CRF230 in my garage now, and both have had the stock non o-ring chain on them, and now an O-ring chain,., I can tel you my 39 year old , long time riding, roadracing, and now off road racing butt, can not tell a difference, nor can my son, or his mother.... But if ya want to spend 😢 Ridding is at least part mental,, and if ya "feel faster" thats part of the deal.
