THUMPERS4LIFE Posted December 18, 2004 I primarily ride two tracks. One is a wide open track with only one tight spot and it is still pretty open. I also ride an indoor track that is super tight. I am not able to clear most of the jumps because I come out of a turn and am not able to get enought momentum. ON the outdoor track I feel that I am coming out of the turns sluggishly. I own a 2004 yz250f the stock gearing is still there 13/48. I was just wondering what two gear ratios would be best for these tracks even if I have to by two sets of sprockets. aaronc Posted December 18, 2004 try a 50 or 51 maybe even 52 for indoor track and a 46 or so for outdoor track, hope this helps 😢
Steve_380_yzf Posted December 18, 2004 I would go 13/52 for indoor and 14/52 for outdoor (thats equivalent to 13/49) It is much easier to change a front sprocket and fronts wear heaps quicker so you'll go through a couple of fronts before the rear wears out. hope this works, thats what I would do
