ridegobig Posted December 18, 2004 Has any one tried to put an 89-92 yz 80 front end on a TTR. It seems that, allthough the performance of these older forks would be less than the upside down 93-04 forks, it would be cheaper, and would better match the rear end of the stock TTR. Before I waste money buying an old YZ, I would like to know. I have the manual from my 1990 yz i had when I was a kid so I am hoping some info can be gleaned from it. If anyone has an old yz that could take some measurements let me know.

ridegobig Posted December 19, 2004 The cost of those old bikes can be as low as $100 for an old parts bike. If it works I don't think even $500 is to much when you compare it to the 93-up fork swap cost. LTM
