mini_thumper50 Posted December 19, 2004 I was just noticing that my shock bottoms out a little easier than it used to. (stock w/applied spring) So I was wondering how you can tell if your shock is blown?
Whyze80 Posted December 19, 2004 im not positive but it could be when your forks are leaking badly.....but that could also just be a blown seal im not positive
mini_thumper50 Posted December 19, 2004 I'm talking about the the rear shock, not the forks. 😢
RaceMX84 Posted December 19, 2004 Stock forks dont have oil in them so they cant leak. lol If you shock is blown oil will be coming out of the seals and it wont have any dampening. How long have you had the bike, and how long has it had the HD spring?

phatfiddy Posted December 19, 2004 The stock shock seems to go out pretty easy with a heavy rider. sorry to say but eventually itll blow!
mini_thumper50 Posted December 19, 2004 It hasn't had the HD spring very long, but It is an 02'. There isn't any oil leaking out....yet 😢 I have over jumped(5' to flat ground) quite a few times on the first try of a new jump but that's about it. I will probably get a new shock whether It's blown or not. Thanks
