Scotts damper installation???

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 CRF 450 and I picked up a used scotts damper bolt on top mount, pro-tapers, pro-taper mounts, fastway scotts mount, and fastway hand guards so I could mount up a top mount scotts damper. Yesterday I bolted up the scotts mount and the bars and the steering range of motion was limited. The lower portion of the top triple clamp hits the damper mount. Is this common or did I do something wrong? Do I need to grind the bottom part of the top triple clamp to make clearance? I do not have any directions for any of the parts and want to get this all straightened out before ordering a new damper. Does anybody have directions for the installation that could be emailed to me? My email is kenhanderson@hotmail.com.

Thanks for the help!

Ken
