RMZ-Boyesen waterpump kit.

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow RMZ-250 riders, before I ride my new 250 I want to install the Boyesen water pump / cover kit. Before I take it apart do I need a small puller to take the impeller off...?

Also, would any of the experts know if the 04 RM 250 and RMZ 250 share the same transmission or any other engine parts. ( I have a line on a box of 04 RM parts )

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Frank.

i love my boysen water pump. Too keep it from rotating you can take off the flywheel cover on the other side and use a socket on that so you can get the old impeller off and put the new one on. Use 1/4" drive and torque it to spec. You don't want to strip that aluminum nut. Also be very careful with the bolts on the case because they are going into aluminum as well. And NEVER drop the boyesen impeller. You can damage one of the fins and then later on it could break off inside the motor when it is spinning so treat it like your baby. ?
