Recharging Gas Shock?

Recommended Posts

I'd like to know if there is any place that can recharge a gas (nitrogen?) shock. Its on my 1980 TT250. I've got two of these shocks, and one is definitely softer than the other, but I think that they are both low on pressure. Hopefully, someone out there knows of a place in the Los Angeles area. Thanks a heap!

Any good motorcycle shop will have a nitrogen tank and they will gladley take your 15-30 dollars to charge it. I take mine to a local mechanic and get it done for 10 because ive known him for about 8 years. Chapparrale charges 30 to charge it. Call around and im sure you will get 2 or 3 quotes.

30 bucks?

Unreal.

Too bad you live across the country. You could swing by my place and I'd do it for free (but we do accept donations to help pay for the refill when needed).

Where do you live? If you are near Huntington Beach come on by and I'll charge them up for free (assuming they have Schrader valves on them).

Yep, one of the local shops did it for $15.00, while I waited. Quite painless.

Thanks for your offer to do it!
