Can anyone recommend good riding gloves ?

Recommended Posts

Im tired of buying MX riding gloves only to find my fingers poking out a few months later, or the patheticly attached wrist retaining strap come off, or the weak stiching come apart.

Are they all just fit for looking good in the shops, or are there some that are up to a season or two of Enduro, Trail riding. I live in the UK, so Mud, Snow and lots of abuse are normal.

Not like the sunny mud free riding conditions you see in the magazine adverts !

Can anyone recommend some good makes ?

Two years ago I started riding with these Ironclad

They are technically a work glove, but fit and look like a riding glove.

They are tough, I have ridden with one pair for two seasons now.

I use the "heavy utility" version

You can get them through Amazon.com I get mine at the local hardware store.

Not sure if available locally in the UK.

I won't ride with anything else

I have had very good luck with the Moose XCR gloves. I bought mine 3 years ago and plan on using them again this year. They have a few holes in the fingers starting to appear.

I mostly trail ride and these gloves also get used a lot to move deadfall and cut logs out of the trail when we're trail clearing in the spring time. I'd definitely buy another pair when the time comes.

If you want really TOUGH Gloves for trail riding, it's hard to beat a pair of nice Elk, or deerhide, gloves, they last and last like the energizer bunny!
