Oil change ?

So here's the ?, I'm new to the world of dirt biking being that I've been doing it for about three months now, what I'm wondering is why is it that we need to change our oil after every other ride but we go much(MUCH) longer on our street bikes, is it really needed to do it evry other ride????????????????

I think it really depends on how much and how hard you ride. I don't think I'll be changing my oil every other ride, but if I put in a long hard ride then of course I would.

Back in 99 I went on the Hatfield McCoy invitationl 2 day ride in WVa, if had been riding a 4-strroke back then I would have definitely changed the oil in between days

I don't think you need to change your oil every other ride. Especially if your buying good synthetic oil. But lots of people do. It all depends on who you ask. I guess if you're revving the crap out of your bike, you might be better off changing your oil more often.
