Steel valve and head mod?'s

Recommended Posts

Speaking of WMR......has anyone out there used their services that included

installing new valve guides, valve seats, buckets, valve springs, and the

stainless steel valves ? In other words, just setting your head up with these

modifications ? I am looking for some testimony/history of product use. We

are getting ready to rebuild the top end of a 2005 KX250F that has 85 hours

on it. The only other thing on this bike that has failed is the water pump seal.

On the topic of valves on this bike, we have constantly had the left intake

valve ( closest to the chain ) tighten up considerably more than any of the

other valves. Anyone else experience this happening ?

Left intake valve closed up more at our 04-rmz also.

We have used WMR conical springs after app.. 32hrs and they have worked quite OK .

WMR has now tested more on the springloads for different valves Ti/SS and we have ordered springs for our new Ti valves and new modified cams.

They have raised the closing forces on their new springs on the inlet valves and we believe this gives some higher rev, before floating starts= longer lifetime also on the left valve.

They also changed the forces on the exhaust valves.

We will also install bronze seats and new bronze guidings, the bronze seats and guidings will transfer the heat better, thats why we go for their stuff.

quite short delivery on their services as well.

WMR buckets are now DLC covered and that should eliminate the jam in the bore which have been a problem for guys that have put SS valves (heavier valves and stronger springs) in the top, and still riding 12000+.

We believe in the light Ti valvetrain& conical spring theory.lefa
