From Racer X 2-1-2005

"While visiting Kawasaki yesterday, EJ ran into Team Kawasaki factory mechanic Jeremy Albrecht, James Stewart's mechanic. He was putting together a practice bike for the injured Stewart, who broke his arm in practice at the Phoenix SX. "We got some good news today and James is in good spirits," said Albrecht. "James found out today that he can begin more serious rehabilitation on his arm immediately. He was all smiles at that, because he knows he'll be back on the bike soon."

The hot rumor is that James will return to racing action at the Orlando Supercross on Saturday, March 19, but no one at Kawasaki had a firm date to offer.

Team manager Bruce Stjernstrom also remarked that his young rider was doing well: "James' spirits have been much higher as of late. It took him a long time to get over the fact that he was injured. He really felt that he let the entire race team down. He felt like he didn't come through for us. But James was just in here, and he was smiling. He's ready to start racing, and he knows that day is approaching. It's too bad James got hurt in Phoenix, because he really felt the 2005 championship was his. He wasn't thinking that he had a shot at it; he really thought it was his. When he got hurt, that all fluttered away."
