**Check It Out**"Little Hands" mod for your kids bikes.

Recommended Posts

If you're little ones having trouble with the reach from the grip to the brake/clutch lever. Here is a CHEAP, easy way to close the distance and make using the hand controls much easier. Also by moving the levers closer your Young dirtbiker will gain leverage and confidence since they no longer need to struggle with the controls.

Start by removing the clutch/brake perch and drilling a 5/32 hole in the perch and tapping it with a 8-32 tap. insert a 3/4" cap screw and tighten to desired distance. Reassemble and adjust accordingly.

Brilliant!

Great job, wolf_child.

Also, a dab of lock-tite will help keep the adjuster screw in place.

Dan.

My 9 yr old took this thing out for a bit this afternoon... Man, what a difference. According to him, not only is it easier to reach, but easier to pull as well. Not to mention it engages faster due to the shorter span. He went from being terrified of this bike and unsure of himself, to rippin' up the field in a matter of minutes. Just by being able to reach the controls and having them more responsive. I would do this mod again no question.:cry:

Looking to buy a used Beta 2017 500 RRS from outside California.  Can I plate (Register with CA DMV) the bike in CA?  If so what is the best way?  Don't have the money to put down for a new bike from a Dealer in CA.  Any help or sugguestions would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

This continues to be my favorite trail/race weapon!! In our Eastern tight woods, power is not King, handling is. And this thing outhandles them all!!!!
