My Horses

Recommended Posts

I finally decided to get some racing photos lined up on photobucket to show friends and family. I guess my Hondas have taken pretty good care of my over the last few years. I call them my horses. It's been a real kick!

Great pics! Is that your daughter? If so, I'll bet she can't wait to ride!

Nice LaRocco style! I have a daughter, but only my two sons are interested in bikes. She's into horses..... the real kind. Not sure how I'm going to fit that into the garage......

I have three daughters and they all ride, okay putt around. My oldest used to go for it, but took the bars in the chest and was cart wheeling at the time. I was video taping her at the time too. All on tape, She wanted to go home, but I told her she had to do one more lap before I would take her home. She rode another four hours around the track.

Wolfdog,

She sounds like a trooper. I guess I'll let my girl race while she's young. I remember a girl in Texas that used to beat all the guys until she was about 12 or 14!!

Congrats on the bundle to come. Little people are funny. While we're on kids and racing, have you ever seen a pit parent who was a complete jerk?

I saw a fat slob in Vegas who was yelling at his boy to ride faster. The kid was about 10 yrs old, and he was riding as hard as he knew how. The dad kept scolding him to, "JUST HIT THE DOUBLE!!!" If that kid felt he could clear that obstacle, he would have done it. He wanted to do well, but he was being scolded by an alcoholic who could barely get out of his lawn chair, let alone clear any doubles. It made me want to grab the dad, in front of his kid, and kick his teeth in, pull his pants down and spank him until he broke down and cried  . It's what he deserved. Sorry, but in a sport where everyone's being so cool, a jerk really stands out. I don't have all the answers, but I do know when I see someone who's got it all wrong.

Kids are cool. Motocross should be allowed to remain "fun" for them. As they grow, they'll develop their own drive and aggression. Just my 2 cents...

Not a daughter, but a granddaughter. She loves sitting on my bike and turning the throttle. For a toddler, she has excellent throttle controll. She also sits in the correct foreward position. The gripper seat cover works well against her huggies.

I bought her a LEM. The bike is fast and light. Decent suspension.

She will turn 1 next week.

Yes, its a bit soon, but I lost all controll.

My dad started me riding when I was 6. My brother was 3 1/2. Overall it is one of the best memories in my childhood. I lost my dad two years ago, but the motorcycle rides are still running everyday in my mind.

If I took motorcycling away, I dont think I would remember much about growing up with him. I hope I can give my granddaughter even 1/10 of those wonderful memories.

Rcannon,

I'm sure you will, bro. And Utah is a great place to do it.

Huggies...that's funny!
