Swing arm removed... what jobs to do?

Recommended Posts

Becuase I've been a bit lax lubing it on the bike, and its got a couple of tight spots. Soaking it in oil for a few days helps a lot.

the lubricant in an "O" or "X" ring chain is sealed behind the rubber gasket. ideally, none of the lubricant can get out, and no contaminants can get in.

the DID X-ring, one of the best if not the best chain on the market, needs almost no maintenance to last 1000's of miles. simply wash your bike, and then spray liberal amounts of WD40 on the chain while spinning the rear wheel (under power or by hand).

one final note: do not apply any type of sticky "chain lube" to an O-ring or X-ring chain -- doing so just shortens the life of the chain. if you don't understand why this is so use the search function located above.
