Rear Disc Guards

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any input on a quality rear disc guard? The stock plastic one is a piece of @#&*!!! But I expected that. I saw a pro moto billet one on a CRF450 last race that looked pretty good. It allowed for more air to cool the disc as opposed to the "plate" type fins. Just wondered if anyone is using it offroad and how well it holds up. Or any other brands?

I'd go with the Scotts. It is bomber and I have hammered mine on quite a few rocks. Although the aluminum has many abrasions, it is still straight and working fine. Carbon Fiber bends back to original after being hit but you may get a bent disc as well. Have you priced a rotor? Spend the $125 on a Scotts if you ride in rocky, rooty terrain.
