If that wasn't enough, I tuned in to OLN to catch Dirt Rider Adventures only to see that they were featuring 1800-2000 cc big cruiser bikes! Needless to say, they lost my attention on that one.

Exactly why I stoped watching years ago.

Yeah, 2-Wheel Tuesday has gone badly downhill over the last year or two. But here are a couple of my thoughts (like they matter to SPEED or TWT):

-- Ben Bostrum is a stud. I actually liked his appearance tonight, and on the previous 2WT. Yeah, the quick survey question thing at the end was a little lame, but I know for sure that Ben is faster than me on a sportbike, and it sounds like he can kick my a$$ on a roadbike and rockclimbing now. He is an elite athlete (you can see the look), and I admire him for what he's done. Plus, you can see him actually thinkiing over the questions that Greg is asking -- maybe if Jamie Little were asking, Ben would have a bit more problems concentrating....

-- IMO, Greg White has been dealt a bad hand. Do you remember when he had to announce the change in format for 2WT? He seemed pretty choked up and pi$$ed off when 2WT went from the old format (of 3-4 MC races plus commentary per Tuesday) to the new lame stuff (1 hour of mixed stupidity).

I think that Greg is pretty much trying to keep his job and to keep some motorcyle-related stuff on the air. He's definitely a street-oriented guy, so that blows for us MX/SX/Off-Road folks, but he's at least clinging by his fingernails tryng to keep motorcycles on the air...

I sure wish it was like the old days a couple years ago -- come home to 2WT and watch hours of racing with no BS features thrown in..... -Mike-

It's not just 2 Wheel Tuesday, Speed Channel has went way downhill. I'm a NASCAR fan and I think they have to much NASCAR coverage. No Paris to Dakar (yes I watched it on OLN), WRC coverage cut back, NO GNCC!!!, a lot of the shows I used to watch are gone. Cruiser coverage on Dirt Rider was funny. I wonder what TV producer thought that one up.

I love motorcycles and this is all I have... I have no choice but to watch it as there is nothing else.

I like Greg ok, and the show isn't too bad, I just hate the unrelated stuff they do.

It's like "Ok, lets visit the house of the next door neighbor of (insert famous racer name here) and see what's cooking in the kitchen... "

Garrett Poucher and Skyler Howes of Garrett Offroad Racing are headed to Dakar!  These US privateers are headed there for their first times but Skyler is fresh off a victory at last week's Baja Rally, won the Sonora Rally in March and this team placed third in the Baja 1000.

They have a fundraising link set up and could use your help.
I raced with Garrett at Baja Rally last year and then both of them at Sonora and was honored to pit with them as well.  They're both super guys and work their assess off.  I think they both have good chances of not only finishing the 11 days of Dakar but placing well.
They're doing some rally training events this Sat, Oct 20 in Santa Clarita, CA and then another Oct 28th in St. George Utah so if you've ever considered learning rally raid navigation, this is your chance!  It's a lot of fun too.  More info on that at the link.
