Headlight/ horn switch loose

Recommended Posts

I noticed my headlight/horn switch assembly spins easy on the handlebars. I didn't have time to really check it out before I put it up, but I did notice that the assembly halves are tight together. Is there a set screw inside. :)

Mine are nubless too, after installing Renthals. Mine don't move much, but some others have just put some electrical tape around the bars.

When installing aftermarket bars on an S measure and drill holes in the bars where the old holes were. No rotation of controls after mod...DS

Don't think I want to be drilling holes in aluminum bars. Potential fracture point. The manufactureres worn against doing so.

Nubless works fine, and besides, allows to rotate the bars and housings if not just right.

I have an old inner tube that gets cut up for just such purposes. It has more friction than electrical tape so does not need to be so tight to not spin easily but when impacted it will turn.
