05 CDi on a 04?

Recommended Posts

To make a long story short, last time i rode my kxf it died, died, died at mid to high rpms, but would start right back up.

Anyhow, anticipating replacing, but wondering if there are any benefits to an 05 over a 04?

Please let us know if replacing the CDI fixes your problem.

I've got the same problem on an 04 RMZ250 - thanks for the info. You may want to check out the other posting by NickJones on his bogging problem - lots of good stuff there. I'm heading down the fun troubleshooting path - got to fix it for World Mini in Vegas!

Buy a UMI replacement CDI.. You can get them with stock rev limit or 500 higher... Different rev limiting results in less floating valves???

if they are floating the valves at 10.000 how would going higher help, when the effective range is really below 11.000, shift don't rev.
