big rocks

Recommended Posts

How is the best way to take big flat angled rocks on steep uphills? :) I always try to go to the uphill side of them were the rock is just a rock and not a big flat slick surface. But it never fails that I will fall off the pipe and just have to ride the clutch on the flat surfaces the rest of the way up the hill. :) Thanx

Can you be a little more descriptive in your explanation? It sounds like you're trying to go over the edges of rocks instead of on the flat sides. If this is the case, perhaps you should drop a gear before heading up the hill?

Ya I try to go around them were they are not flat and slick. I always end up sliding over the edges of them and riding on the slick surfaces. :)

picture would be great, then we could tell you a good line. Generaly in cases as such, I either gather some speed, or if possible ride the berm of the trail (if there is one)
