Anyone use aftermarket clutch cable that works better than OEM?

Recommended Posts

i see the thumpertalk shop has both TerryCable (teflon lined) clutch cable & Motion Pro terminator clutch cable avail for the xr4.

Do either of these work better than a new honda oem cable? If so which one is best? What about reliability how they are built. Don't want a busted cable way out there in the woods. I'm looking for the smoothest working cable that is avail to replace my worn cable. I'm sure a magura hydr. would be sweet but is too pricey.

thanks!

I recently had to replace the stock cables as they are way to short for my taller bars. I went with Terry Cable and they made the cables as long as I asked. I replaced both throttle cables, the clutch, and decomp cables.

The fit and finish are great and the clutch is like butter now, it made a huge difference. I would recommend them to anybody.

One of my buddies has the Motion Pro Terminator cable on his KDX and it is just like butter. He recommends them as well.

I would go with one of these cables over stock any day. :)
