Carb hose routing

Well I am going to tinker around with some filters for the carb hoses but I was wondering if anyone could tell me any tricks to the routing.

I have heard of putting some in the air box. It would be nice to get a couple away from the shock spring and to a higher place. Any suggestions or pics? Thanks. Mike

Don't route the vent tubes in to the air box. Bad idea. There are two problems:

1) If you lay down your bike, gas could flow into your airbox, and saturate your air filter with gas. Not good.

2) The air in the box is lower pressure than outside (due to air being sucked into the carb), so it could cause a suction on those vent lines.

Maybe I will try to get them higher and out of the dust instead of actually in the air box.

I'm not sure exactly why Honda routed one vent high (engine mount bracket) and three low (on swing arm in front of shock), so I kept my vent lines in the factory locations while adding filters.
