Doublin Gap

Does anyone know if they changed the track around for this coming season? I know there was some talk of it, but I don't know if anyone heard anything new.

wheres doublin gap at.. is it around southeast pa ?

i hate doublin gap race there once got the hole shot was in 1st place the hole time over shot a double tore my hole kneee up hate that damn place its my fault but still lol u can blame it on the track :)

Doublin Gap is near Shippensburg. About 1 hour south of Harrisburg on I-81. Can't blame the track for over shotting a double. I like that track, it's about the most challenging one I've seen.

Weather permitting, we're planning on going to the practice day on March 5th, you going? Not sure if we are staying to race Sunday though.

Good Grant I will be there to. I rebuilt my bike over the winter put a 262 kit in it cant wait to try it Are you going to watch motorama ?Figure I would go and see a few broken bones not mine this time :) old bones take to long to heal Rick

I use to race there about 5 years ago, Got out of riding, They have a great track and keep it well maintained, I just got back into riding in sept. I will be there march 5th for the practice day, maybe i will see you guys there.

Good, I'll make sure to look you up. Looks like some other TTrs will be there too. Whew a 262, watch out now :)

Not going to Motorama, we went one year (2 years ago I think) to watch. Boy is that crazy, talk about a small track.

Are you talking about the National Advancement system? I see quite a few moved up.

Lets hope for some good weather, more snow possible this weekend :p

I'm going to Motorama to watch too. I would like to be at DG for the first race and practice of the year, but we'll see how it works out. I may be missing some of the first half of the season. I need to take some time a practice. That way when you race 125c again Grant, I might be able to keep up!

Iasaac dont worry I will be there you can pass me easy Im old and slow .Tim by the way its the fuel that makes it a 350f :) Rick

Howdy! I'm looking for early season riding within driving distance. Ontario is still 4-6 weeks from riding and I'm itching....
Advanced single trail rider, open to medium+ difficulty 4x4 / ATV trails, doesn't have to be single trail only.
I'm an hour from the border, Ottawa, and good to drive 7-8 hours max to get a day or 2 of riding far as Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, up the coast to Maine
I've found the following locations so far that might fit the bill:
Any on this list you would remove?
      Did I miss any?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone around New Jersey heard of Lepis Land? I found people talking on other forums about it and how riding there is by donation only. Does anyone have anymore information about it or a phone number to contact them?

10/17/08 UPDATE! I posted more photos on page 2. Not all pictures are on page 1. I will constantly be adding more photos as I go along.
Many of you have heard of my starting/idle problems with the 610. Carburetion has been ruled-out time and time again. I sensed something else was going on. The engine has never wanted to idle down, sounded like there was a load on it even in neutral. Since I had metal filings in my oil when I first got it, I have now decided to overhaul it and make everything ship-shape. It turns out that I was correct- there is some valve damage that I will talk about later.
I don't like to take apart dirty engines and get the dirt inside 'em

      A little gross.

      My cleaning station:

      A little better now

      Clutch removal:

      after removing springs

      bottom of pressure plate

everything looked decent as far as wear

      after removing plates

      basket after removing hub

      Area after removing basket.

Removing the starter gear with snap ring pliers

More to come. I'm uploading pictures of the case splitting, etc...
I'll try to ease off on the photo-over-obsession. The next batch of info/photos will be a little more interesting.
Comments and suggestions are appreciated. I'm already ordering parts from George so before I know it, I'll be just waiting on new parts (after a little more cleaning.
