more power!broke 55hp today.....

finally got the 13.5 to 1 JE piston. :):)

current configuration is now:

chm sm1 pipe

rhc torque cam

je 13.5 to 1 piston

vp u4 fuel

104 ex lobe center

these graphs are the difference from stock compression to the new piston.

and this of course is stock vs the current configuration.

nice, now go for 60 :D:):):p

Congrats! You now have a stock CR500! :)

Just giving you a hard time...I wish mine was crankin' out those ponies.

now you just need to beat me on the track! :) just kidding. cant wait to ride again... BUT itll have to be next weekend most likely. tys bike needs a new piston (blowing TONS of smoke) and should have it done in two weeks. well call you to ride again.

dan

:):p

oh dan,i will just wait till your out in the weeds. :D:o

had a great time on sunday.if i wasnt a fat bastard my bike would be even faster!

your 180 or so and im 240.i wonder how many hp that worth? :)

i pretty sure im riding next sunday too.let me know if your in.

i will even let you ride my bike if you promise not to crash it. :D

speakin of weeds, i went into them again (other straight) after you left! i think i ride a little to hard and dont know exactly how the bike runs yet everywhere. oh well, time will show.

did some "calculations" about the power differance:

you: 240

bike: 230 (i think)

-----------

total: 470

power: 55

////////////

POWER TO WEIGHT : 8.54:1

me: 180

bike: 230 (i think)

---------------

total: 410

power: 55 (hopefully)

////////////////////

POWER TO WEIGHT : 7.45:1

Percent difference in power to weight is 87.23%

87.23% of 55 hp is 48 hp........

HMMMM, wonder if this is correct?

dan

when will you have the RHC head ? looks like your going to get nice hp out of a stock bore & stroke combination

not sure on the math.im definately not a mathmetician.

ron should get the head this week.i hope he can fit me in.hopefully a month or so.

i had a 05 on back order but didnt want to wait any longer.so i ordered a 04 head.

I know the weight diff would be about 2 tenths of a sec. ET in a QTR MILE

are the heads the same? seems like the 05 is is a stronger engine stock

they are identical besides that the manual decomp hole is blank on the 05.

the 05 makes more power becuase the air box is way less restrictive and ignition changes.

the new air box boot isnt pinched flat next to the shock.

compression is the same too ?

if you mean cc volume of the head yes.

the 05 has 12:1 compression.i believe the 04 is as well.

I thought I saw something that said the 05 had 1/2 a point more comp. it didnt say if it was in the head or piston, must have been a rumor

i can double check the manuals in the am,but im pretty positive about it.

thanks , its no big deal , I can check it out when I get into Jrocket's new 450 , he's my int. test rider . he is 140 lbs what does that feel like on a 450 :)

145lbs.....and its alot of bike to hang onto, but well worth it. :)

i can tell you this........one of the kids i help has a yz426 supermoto.hes pretty fast and weighs 115 lbs.

he can stay with my 450 pretty well down the straight.i can still motor him a little, about like i can dan's bike.

that bike makes 45hp. :)

we traded bikes and it was sickening.

I was talking about after you change your shorts :)
