That was me thinking.... I'm on call that weekend but I can prolly switch with someone.

I don't camp out on a ride with out a few 1lb. Cowboy cut, nawing off that juicy, flame broiled, slightly char'd, freshly hacked off that heffer, flavorful bone . Which also makes for a great handle as you discovered ? I'll bring the prime 20 oz. bad boys next time ? Need a charcoal grille next time, adds that extra flav ?

I'm jonesing for one at the moment

I have only been to chadwick a couple of times but I LOVE IT!!

Everyone confirm who wants in and how many buddies they are bringing. I will look at getting cabins for the entire group for Friday and Saturday nights

I was reading that the forest service requires spark arrestors for mark twain nat.forest... Do you guys know if they are gonna strictly inforce that? ? Or is Chadwick not even in Mark Twain nat. forest anyway? ?

Yes it is in the Mark Twain National forest. You also need to be 96 db in all US National forests. I just dont think they enforce this in our wet regions like they do out west where it is very dry and fires start very easy. ?

i have never heard of somebody getting a noise or lack of spark arrester ticket in chadwick in the 20 years i have been riding there. i would not worry about it, but if your a jerk without a permit they will throw the book at you--on a side note dont try to run from the ranger on the xr400 he WILL catch you

That weekend is a MHSC race weekend also but I will skip that round to meet all you guys and do a little riding. I won't need a cabin I like to camp there. Would any of you object to riding with some quads? I got a bunch of buddys that ride them but they are fun to ride with. And none of them has ever been to Chadwick!!

If I come by myself I would go for the cabin, if I can get some of the guys from work to go I will camp out. I should know by the middle of next week.

Any idea how much more it'd cost to get a cabin, rather than camp?

I know that camping is $10 per night. If the cabins have a shower I would go more toward them. The camp ground is ok but has no showers, and only one pit type bathroom for the entire place, and usually about 1/2 the water spigots are broken.
