Throttle Top dead Center?

Recommended Posts

When putting on my new bars a few months ago, having no clue what I was doing, I am not sure I pput the throttle assembly back at the correct angle/rotation. Couple times, in hairy situations on the trial, the bike was throttling when - in my mind - I thought I had the throttle closed. Its either bad technique/hand position at that momemnt (quite possible) or do not have the TDC of the throttle OFF position right.

Thoughts?

Since there are different throttle pulls such as 1/8, 1/4, 3/8 etc. there is no exact anwser. I usally position it so at full throttle my wrist isn't in some wierd position. It's kinda hard to explain, but the top usually ends up a little forward past TDC. I would look at some pictures and go from there, but it's how it feels most comfortable.

STOCK puts the push and pull cables under the bars. as long as you dont interfere /w/ the mechanism it shouldn't matter. just set it how u like it.
