fork seal?

Recommended Posts

Well, i finally healed enough (broken collar bone) to take the drz for a little ride on the road, and when i was done i noticed oil leaking out of my right side fork at the seal...great :) yet another thing. I wonder if it happend in the crash?

So is it tough to replace the fork seal?

anyone done one already?

if ya got the manual, it is easy to replace the fork seal

but before ya do it, do the simple old trick

pry open the dust cover, use a unwanted namecard (or someone's ya don't like :) )

slot it between the seal and the chrome fork tube, and go around the fork tube.

it may not be effective as it is not USD fork

but it worth a try before ya split the fork tube.

hope this help :)

Thanks Weeeeee, i don't really have the $ for a manual, i've been out of work from the injury, but it would really help a tt'er out to see the pages in the manual (scanned or copies)..

What do you mean guys about sliding a card or film negative down around the fork?
