2004 CFR250 w/yosh pipe jetting

Recommended Posts

I have a 2004 Honda CRF250 with A yoshamira exhaust and I run straight race gas. The bike smokes enough that it leaves black on the fender. I am an 2 stroke master at jetting but when it comes to 4 strokes I do not know much. Can anyone tell me what would be a safe jetting change. I would rather run a little rich then go lean.

Try moving the needle clip position to 3rd from top with a #40PJ (stock) and fiel screw at 2 turns out.

If you still get black smoke and soot, check the float bowl level and measure exactly how much oil you motor is burning per every 2 hours of run time. There is a possibility the black soot is from oil, not fuel.

(Valves, valve seals, or rings)
