making a 250f

Recommended Posts

This is like shooting fish in a barrel.

I would put the YZ250F motor in the RMZ/KXF frame with Honda suspension.

Aside from the valve problems the RMZ/KXF is an incredible handling package. Take the durability, high horsepower and plethora of aftermarket goodies available, the YZ250F motor is an easy choice. Add that silky smooth suspension from the CRF and that would be pretty tough to beat.

At least that's my wish list!

You are joking, right? The list is endless. Here is what I'd love to do...

1. Factory Connection suspension revalve. 2. Eric Gorr 262 high comp. kit. 3. Factory 4.1 exhaust. 4. Scotts stabilizer. 5. Big Gun head porting and polish. 6. ??? rev box. 7. Excel rims. 8. ??? brakes. 9. Hotcams camshafts. 10. IMS radiators. I could add another 50, but I also have a life other than TT. The really sad thing is that out of those 10, I only have 1. The Scotts stabilizer.

blue excels, red talon hubs, braking wave rotors, tag sprockets, did ert gold, akrapovic exhaust, black powdercoated swingarm and frame, black nitride forks... alright, Thats a lot of money...

actually it's just a lot of bling that has nothing to do with performance.

the poster asked for "the ultimate bike" but this sounds like "the bling-est bike".

pretty simple:

2005 bike

hi comp piston, stock bore

Works forks and shocks

gripper seat

DRd or Carbon Pro Exhaust

aftermarket chain/sprockets , bars/clamps

then ride it!

I am still waiting for someone to take the new YZ250 frame and stick one of the 4 strokes in it. That would be cool to see the future a few months early.

If your "looking good" and going slow, its pointless. Why waste all that money on stuff that does absolutely nothing?

Doug

Oh, so I guess all that works suspension and motor work is going to make you squids go faster? just kidding... I would probably go ahead and throw in maybe an ignition and some big gun head mods, maybe some suspension to go with it. I don't want the ultimate engine unless I have a mechanic to rebuild it every couple months for me...

I personally find it funnier when the slow riders have all the suspension stickers all over their forks and shocks and talk about how they changed the compression 2 clicks for this track and so on... If someone is slow and just likes how a set of excel wheels looks on their bike, thats cool with me.

You can get wet-sump conversion kits for the F series. They are intended for racing use only since they cut the oil capacity.

I would put training wheels on mine, so I could ride the bike. Of course, they would be clear plastic to give the illusion I am actually a good rider at a distance.
